Chaque ann\u00e9e, 10 millions de tonnes de plastiques finissent dans les oc\u00e9ans et 80 % d’entre eux proviennent des terres. Agir \u00e0 la source est indispensable. Adopt’1 Spot permet de dresser un diagnostic pr\u00e9cis de la pollution sur une zone, et d’orienter des actions efficaces et durables.<\/p>

Les 4 \u00e9tapes cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h3>
  1. Connaitre :<\/span> Ramasser les d\u00e9chets sur le spot adopt\u00e9, au moins 3 fois par an ;<\/li>
  2. Comprendre :<\/span> Caract\u00e9riser les d\u00e9chets ramass\u00e9s pour identifier leur origine et leur nature ;<\/li>
  3. Agir :<\/strong> Identifier et mettre en \u0153uvre des actions sur le spot pour r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9chets abandonn\u00e9s ;<\/li>
  4. Evaluer<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>Analyser les donn\u00e9es et mesurer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des actions engag\u00e9es dans le temps.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      Public authorities and managers spots<\/h4>\n

      These spots are intended for local authorities and nature managers wishing to embark on a program to monitor litter, based on studies carried out on one or more indicator areas in their territory. The purpose of this information is to assess, over the long term, the effectiveness of public policies and local actions against litter. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>

      National monitoring spots<\/h4>\n

      These spots cover all the areas covered by the national program for monitoring marine litter on the coast, conducted within the DCSMM and the OSPAR Convention.       Adopt'1 Spot<\/strong> is also an educational tool <\/strong>that can be used to raise awareness among a variety of audiences<\/strong>, including citizens, schoolchildren and corporate employees.<\/p>

      This program is offered to educational structures to reach as many children and teenagers as possible, who can benefit from tailor-made support from MerTerre<\/strong>.<\/p>

      The Adopt'1 Spot<\/b> program originated in the United States and was inspired by the \"Adopt a beach\" concept. The idea is simple: citizens commit to carrying out several litter picks at a site they symbolically \"adopt\".<\/em><\/p>\n

      In 2008, the European Union passed the DCSMM<\/i><\/u><\/b><\/a> (Marine Strategy Framework Directive), which is applied in France through the Marine Action Plan (MAP).<\/em><\/p>\n

      In 2016, MerTerre began working with the French government on adapting the American Adopt a Beach concept to France. In 2019, the regional ReMed Zero Plastic<\/i><\/u><\/b><\/a> platform was created with the Mus\u00e9um national d'Histoire naturelle and the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d'Azur Region, followed by its national equivalent, Zero Dechet Sauvage<\/i><\/u><\/b><\/a> with the Minist\u00e8re de la Transition \u00c9cologique. The aim of these participatory science platforms is to federate a network of players and centralize data from collection operations.<\/em><\/p>\n

      Adopt'1 Spot was launched the same year, in 2019, with the aim of making the data collected and recorded on the platform more regular and reliable. Data from one-off collection events often prove to be unreliable, and this is what the Adopt'1 Spot program aims to correct and make usable.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
